Welcome to Generate
Generate is a writing workshop in Los Angeles.
We've formed a supportive circle of writers dedicated to the art, craft and love of writing. Our focus is generating new work. We're open to writers working in any genre and we've learned that writers of all levels find value in our sessions.
At Generate it's not just about writing. It's about finding new ways of being in the world. It's about seeing and opening to possibility. It's about finding and purifying your voice.
Here you can jump-start a new project or add sparks to a continued writing practice. Generate creates a time dedicated to writing with limited discussions on our progress. There’s no pressure, no deadlines, no dictators.
Generate is a place to do your work.
Generate is Now Available 'A La Carte'
We're excited to offer three types of writing classes for 2010:
The ongoing workshop series, individual day or weekend workshops and out of town retreats.
New for 2010: Sandra is now available for private coaching and content editing! Click here for more information.
Our new weekly workshop series has open enrollment, you can join us anytime on a space available basis. Series classes are limited to 8 students. We are currently running Thursday evening sessions in Silverlake and Tuesday night sessions in West Los Angeles. Please see our schedule for particular dates and times.
Weekend workshops are also open to everyone. The Writing in The World workshops function as individual day/weekend writing retreats and are taught at various venues in and around the city of Los Angeles. Sacred Spaces are overnight retreats taken further afield, often in restorative natural environments.
